PJ State is a Chinese Church located in PJ Newtown. It had a website which was done by an earlier web designer and the Church was happy with the existing design. Our job here was to do coding enhancements and integrate a WordPress blog system which would serve as a platform for discussion among the various cell groups. Using this approach, it was possible to keep the cost low and meet the client’s requirements.
As with several other property websites which we worked on previously, there was a shortage of high quality photographs for the website. So we combined some of the artist impressions with a little professional photography to produce the end product.

Due to time constraints, the English website was launched first while the Chinese site is still work-in-progress as we write this.

When Glad Tidings Petaling Jaya first launched gtpj.com just 2 years ago, it was a congregation of around 1,800 members. Today it has reached 3,000 members which is a key milestone for the church.

In conjunction with its new theme “2008 Year of Empowerment”, it was decided that a new look was timely.

The new website colors reflect the theme colors that were chosen for the year. Overall layout was revamped to produce a cleaner and less cluttered design, with emphasis being placed on attracting newcomers and key events hosted by the church from time to time.

Page balance and symmetry was also a key factor in the design.

Glad Tidings is now aiming for 6,000 members in its new milestone… we certainly hope the Internet will help pave the way for the church to achieve this!
